First of all, please note that you don’t have to run the full 24 hours. Your team could choose to run just 1 hour if you want. Set your own team goal and do what you you can. You may surprise yourselves!

(Up to) 24-Hour Relay Race
The 24-hour relay is a run designed for folks who want want to test their endurance as part of a team. If you have never done an ultramarathon relay, they are a ton of fun.
Time: Saturday September 16 at 8:00 AM to Sunday September 17 at 8:00 AM
Team Size: As many or as few as you want. Do it with 6 people, with each person running 4 hours on average. Do it with 24 people, with each person running for 1 hour on average. We recommend a size of 12 people.
Laps: Each runner completes as many laps as they like at a time. Many teams will just have a runner do 1 lap (2.25 km) before passing the race bib belt off to the next runner. But you may decide that each runner should do 3 or 4 laps before handing the race number bib to the next runner, so that other runners can get some sleep. You can mix and match the order of runners as you see fit.
Hand-off Location: Runners should hand-off their race bib to the next runner within 100 m. of the lap race arch at the Stone Cottage. Teams will be given priority for locating their tent(s) close to that location.
Cost: Ranges between $80 per runner if registered by May 31 to $115 if registered after September 1.

Prizes: There will be awards for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams who complete the most laps within the 24 hour time limit for the race.
